Experienced in debt recovery and dispute resolution, Dee advises on all aspects of managing a commercial debt portfolio and provides a one-stop-shop, from pre-legal dispute resolution, through to litigation and enforcement of judgments to a broad client base. With a proactive approach to debt portfolio management and her innovative designs for an online debt recovery portal, she has been able to increase the speed and efficiency of recovery for a large volume of debts.

In May 2014, Dee was appointed Vice President of the ABCC, part of the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce after sitting on their Board for a number of years. Formed in 1987, the ABCC has a long history in supporting the vast variety of diverse, that operate in the West Midlands. The ABCC are committed to speaking up for members and offering members a diverse offering in terms of business support, networking and event opportunities.
Connecting students & trainees to the business sector
Dee was also formerly a NED (non-executive director) of TAG Network Midlands (‘TAG’). TAG Network Midlands was established in 2014 with a vision to create a multi-sector platform to help Trainees, Apprentices, Graduates, and other Young Professionals with an opportunity to connect with established and successful Professionals, Leaders, and Entrepreneurs.
She often gives speeches and seminars on how to become a successful lawyer, how to win clients, how best to network and helping with career advice. Dee also attends a number of networking events to help connect students and trainees to the business sector.

Her positions included being the Chairwoman of the Birmingham Law Society at its 201st Annual General Meeting, held in April 2020. She was elected as a council member of Birmingham Law Society in April 2015 and joined the Board as a Director 12 months later; being the first Asian woman on the Board. Birmingham Law Society was established in 1818 and represents over 5,500 solicitors, barristers, legal executives, trainee lawyers and paralegals across Birmingham and the Greater Midlands. Birmingham Law Society is a membership organisation that offers a number of benefits relevant to today’s legal community; from representation and advocacy, to network introductions and events.

DEVELOP A SCHOOL wide focus on the law of business
She helps and advises Aston University by siting on their Law School Advisory Board. Her input helps focus on how to help students during their time at university and also looking into the future for graduates. Dee will continue help to develop a School-wide focus on the Law of Business, the Business of Law and the Future of Law which combines academic depth with practical insight.
Dee also sits on the Capital Development committee for Symphony Hall and Town Hall. These are venues as the gleaming centrepieces in Birmingham’s city centre. Helping the arts and culture sector break down the real barriers to accessing live music by empowering people from across the region to experience the joy and power of live music. Symphony Hall is a place where communities can come together, people can connect to music and new ground-breaking ways of learning can be developed.
